There’s really only one person standing in the way of your health, and, that’s you.
You can always find ways, no matter what the situation, to eat a little better, get a little more sleep, or exercise a little bit more.
You can park your car a half a mile away from the office. Boom. That’s adding a one-mile walk to your day, automatically. (Or, exit your train 1 stop early.)
You can bring your own lunch if they serve crap where you work.
But those changes are not easy unless you are clear about what you want for yourself, first.
Why do you want to be healthier? Did something scare or upset you?
Why hasn’t it happened until now? What’s been your resistance?
There’s nothing wrong – at all – with struggling with those questions. I still do, every day.
You simply need to be aware of the ghosts in your own head, if you want to beat them.
