It’s true that after I did Robb Wolf’s 30-day Paleo challenge I was in the best shape of my life.
It’s not true (although, I thought & stated this many times) that doing the 30-day Paleo challenge is what transformed my health.
Doing that challenge was a very significant moment on my journey of health. But, there are others. If you jot yours down, you’ll find that you have several as well.
What is transforming me is constant work, day by day, on myself.
Notice how I changed the tense of the verb from ‘transformed my health’ (past tense) to ‘is transforming me’ (present participle).
The present participle is still happening right now. It is always changing, just like you.
There is not one reason for change; change is constant. It’s never over.
So, what does that mean for you?
It means that, no matter what you see out there, no matter what story you’re told, no one’s health transformation is an ‘overnight success’.
Today might be the day you decide to start something new, but, it’s whether or not you continue it tomorrow that really matters.
It might be a book or a gimmick with a flashy ‘lose weight quick’ title that helps get you there, but, you’ve got to go a little deeper than the title for lasting change.
