When you’re feeling stressed, your body burns sugar.
When your body burns sugar, you crave and eat sugar.
When you eat more sugar, you feel even more stressed.
Those are biological responses. There isn’t anything you can do to change them, fundamentally.
Here’s what you can control, to varying degrees:
- The amount of stressors in your life.
- The way you respond to or deal with stress.
- The awareness of the above cycle.
I eat plenty of sugar and have plenty of stress. So, this post is not suggesting that you could eliminate those things, even if you wanted to.
But if either one (or both) feels out of control, then, it’s something you should look at.
