Research shows that if you’re drinking more than about 2.5 cups of Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, or home-brewed coffee, you are in the threshold for negative side-effects to your health. You can read more about that here.
There was a time when I was drinking an average of six cups per day, and, I was walking around telling everyone that I felt great.
And I did, or, at least I thought I did.
The thing is, if you haven’t changed your coffee intake in a long time, then, you might not be sensitive to the effects anymore.
Because, now that I’ve brought it down to 1 or 2 cups per day, I can even notice jittery effects after cup #1.
So, rather than start by asking yourself how many cups a day are you drinking, the better question is: for how long have you been drinking that many?
(Hint: if your answer is in years, then, it’s time to start thinking about why.)
