The Most Powerful Force In Food Politics

Perhaps you’ve watched a food documentary, read a book or article, or been exposed to enough of the food business to be concerned.

Perhaps you’re even a bit overwhelmed at how much money and power we’re up against when it comes to making changes. It is staggering.

Here’s how I skip the overwhelm altogether: I focus on bottom-up efforts.

Whether or not government should be involved in food isn’t for me to say.

What we have is a big government that is involved, and influenced by big money. That isn’t changing any time soon.

What we can change is, what we buy, with our money.

And, that last thing – what we buy with our money – is more powerful than any political lobby or media campaign.
