Sugar is Not the Enemy.

Sugar might be your enemy, and, it certainly is the enemy for many people.

I don’t want you to eat tons of sugar all day. Sugar most certainly is infused into our culture far too deeply.

But it’s not sugar that’s causing diabetes, heart disease, and a long list of other ailments … it is the overconsumption of sugar.

For example: I ingest an entire pitcher (about 2 quarts) of a smoothie loaded with sugar while I train. But then, I’ll eat very little sugar at all other times during the week. Some carbs at meals, but, no sugary snacks or drinks.

Your body needs some sugar. It needs more if you’re training intensely.

How much? It’s probably just a lot less than what you grew up on, or, what you’re eating now.
