Practicing Calm

I used to charge through the day with my super-high energy, working as fast as possible to get as much done as I could.

Over the past few months, I’ve been practicing moving at the pace of awareness. This means staying relaxed, keeping my mind quiet, and focusing on only one thing at a time.

This has been extremely positive and, I’ve found that more actually gets done.

Just the other day I purposefully attempted to ‘ratchet it back up a notch’ and move faster. Guess what? I made more mistakes. It was obvious. This left me with more to fix.

Not productive at all.

So, even though I want to help you Vitalize Your Life, increased vitality does not mean increased running around like a chicken without a head.

Practicing calm, patience, and tapping into your parasympathetic nervous system is an important part of the work.
