Never Be Waiting

Dr. Seuss warned you & I of The Waiting Place. It’s a truly rare skill to be able to speak to both children and grown-ups so truthfully.

I strive never to be waiting. It doesn’t always happen that way. Sometimes I am afraid. Sometimes I catch myself.

Perhaps I’m afraid to ask for that raise, or cold-call on that client.

The trick is to practice. The more you do it, the easier it becomes.

And, the more you wait, the more nothing happens.

Don’t wait. Push.

You don’t have to be an a**hole. You don’t have to be rude, or make unreasonable demands.

All you have to do is provide value, and keep pushing forward, every day.
