Staying Grounded

I’ve been meditating daily for awhile, but more recently, the practice of Qi Gong has added some extra emphasis on ‘staying grounded’.

(There’s more to Qi Gong that that, but, it’s one important part.)

If you can remember your connection to the Earth when your head is spinning with ideas, thoughts, pressure, and overwhelm, it presents a way out. A way to know that what you’re thinking is just in your head; it’s not necessarily what is true.

What is true is that you are a big part of something beautiful. You are important, right now, and, the sky is not falling.
