How I Use Protein

I use protein bars occasionally, as ‘on-the-go’ sources of nourishment. Generally speaking, I prefer a bag of nuts to a bar. I do add some protein powders to my post-workout drinks. But, keep in mind that I train at very high intensity.

Those are just some proteins I add in. Generally, I prefer high quality animal proteins at breakfast & lunch. Eggs, organic chicken, grass-fed beef, for example. (Then, a lighter dinner is best for me, such as soup & salad.)

So, I eat a lot of protein. But it always becomes obvious when I’ve had too much.

My body starts to crave vegetables. I pick up a bowl of broccoli, or spinach, or something similar .. and I can’t stop eating it.

When it comes to protein, you’re constantly being bombarded with messages that you should eat more. But the fact is, if you’re a meat eater, you’re probably eating more than enough.

Don’t listen to what they say. Listen to what your body tells you.
