In about 2008, read Robb Wolf’s The Paleo Diet, and implemented it.
After thirty days:
- I was in the best shape of my life.
- I learned more about cooking than I ever had before.
- I wasn’t craving sugar, gluten, or any processed foods.
My life has forever changed since reading that book. It propelled me forward onto a path of continued learning about nutrition and health.
I was drawn into the book by way of being involved in Crossfit.
I’m quite sure that if you Google ‘paleo crossfit story’, you will find hundreds of others which read very similarly to what I have just told you.
Now, today, I no longer do Crossfit, nor do I maintain a pure Paleo diet.
I eat rice.
I caution people who ask me about it: it’s not an easy one to maintain.
You’ve got to be willing to cook, a lot.
You should read the whole book before trying it.
You should not just wing it. You should have a thirty day plan.
You should get your blood markers checked before and after.
But I will say this: it worked for me.
The only way to know for sure if it works for you is, to first see if it sounds right for you, and, then, to try.
