Rushing Behind

In the spirit of Lao Tzu and the law of reversed effort, which fascinates me, I can attest for you that it is true:

The more you try to rush, the faster you fall behind.

This may seem crazy to test when you’re in the Customer Service business.

You have Customers who want stuff. Now. And the requests continue to come in.

(Hopefully!)

But that’s the thing: they continue to come in. They don’t stop.

The only way for you to get organized is to stop.

When you continue (without planning, or thinking) you are merely jumping from A to B to C.

When you slow it down, you speed it up, because you do less waste, and more work
