In between ‘what is possible’ and ‘what is happening’ is a grey area.
‘What is happening’ is usually the status quo; what works well; what doesn’t make anyone very uncomfortable.
‘What is possible’ is risky; it might not work; it definitely will cause tension and unrest before a new ‘normal’ is reached.
It’s not easy to move people from one side to the other. In fact, it’s never black & white. Sweeping change doesn’t exist.
One speech, one email, one meeting – no singular act will bring an entire group into a new way of thinking.
Chipping away, one small step at a time … that adds up.
