Working alone, I used to get things done quickly, and, any way I saw fit. Working with others, it takes more time to complete some projects. But the results are, by definition, exponentially greater, by a factor equal to the number of quality participants.

“Whenever Possible”
How often do you really deliver this? If it’s part of your marketing, then, consider that "Whenever Possible" should be almost all of the time. And, if it’s already that close, why not make it all of the time, and remove the doubt? (Or, perhaps it’s not really that close.)
No Two Work Days
What if you could wake up tomorrow morning, and know nothing about anyone you work with? As your day goes on, it’s very difficult to stay in this beautiful state. But, if you can bring yourself back to it at various times, say, when you greet someone, or, in the middle of a meeting, you’llContinue reading “No Two Work Days”
Propose … Something.
So, let’s say that you know something isn’t a good idea. It’s not going to work. OK fine, let’s say you’re right. You can voice your opinion. But, write down 10 new ideas for alternate paths to take before you do.

I find it much easier to simply say that I try to eat as little processed food as possible. They might inquire further, but, they won’tContinue reading “Gluten-free Versus Processed Foods”
Solid Foundations
Often times, the things you do before you make the first sale are the things which earn you the trust that eventually becomes a lifetime relationship. By the same token, the things you don’t do fail to build you that trust. And, the things you don’t do well don’t help either. After the first sale,Continue reading “Solid Foundations”
A Sinking Food Ship
When I see a weight-loss ad overlaying the front page of the morning newspaper, it reminds me how far we’ve gotten from simply ‘eating when we’re hungry’ … which, we couldn’t always do. (And, in some places, still cannot.) But I have to admit; even though I am in excellent physical condition, I am oftenContinue reading “A Sinking Food Ship”
