Sweat was rolling down in beads off of my forehead. The people at the table with me could see it.
It was my first time running the group. I didn’t know what to expect.
I knew that everyone had gathered for the same purpose.
I wasn’t overly nervous, but my body starts to sweat at the slightest bit of nervousness.
But I ignored it and kept talking.
I led the conversation, and, people started jumping in with their ideas.
Soon, the sweat stopped.
By the end of the meeting, everyone was sharing very personal fears.
And, my hands were as cool as a cucumber.
Sometimes, if your body warns you not to do something, it’s a sign that you’re close to something good.
It might be new, and it might be scary … but it might work.
