I don’t know how much money I’ll be able to raise to fight hunger.
Will it be a drop in the bucket? Perhaps. Will lots of children starve to death while I sit at my computer, studying marketing & copyediting, trying to boost sales? Yes.
I do know that trying something, even if it fails, brings a sense of purpose.
It is a problem if you’re going through the motions. Whether that’s at school or work, simply to ‘get a paycheck’ or ‘get a degree’.
If there is no purpose to doing either those things (other than ‘to pay the rent’) then, I worry about you.
That’s not what we’re here for.
There’s a job fighting something that bothers you. Find that job, or, even better, create it.
Hungry Nuts isn’t my full-time job. I spend a couple of hours a week on it.
But it brings me immense joy, even in doing the paperwork.
