If you take medication for a mental illness, it doesn’t feel ‘natural’.
Except, if your arm was going to be amputated because of an infection, you wouldn’t hesitate to take an antibiotic.
Antibiotics have side effects, but, they’re rarely worse than losing a limb.
Anti-depressants have side effects too, and, they’re not worse than losing your mind.
As an epileptic whose quality of life DEPENDS on medication, I have no opinion on whether it is or it isn’t natural… I just take it and thank God for it.
I think that’s an awesome way to look at it Sarah. Unfortunately taking meds makes some people feel bad, but I like your attitude.
This is exactly how I feel about taking medication. Even when I need it to live.
