You’re given the stage and a microphone. You are told to address the crowd, and the entire world watching on TV.
What do you say?
The beauty of this conundrum is that there is no single thing one can say that would connect to the multitudes. Even a statement seemingly as encompassing as “Love Thy Neighbor” would not be accepted by all. A valiant notion, but, world peace cannot be achieved in a sentence.
I did just say that this is a beautiful problem.
Once we recognize that changing everyone’s mind is unrealistic, we have only one alternative.
Find the people we do connect with and speak to them.
