Some Wheels Turn Slowly

There’s this knob underneath my rowing machine that I have to crank from an awkward angle about thirty times, in order to tighten the body. (I fold the rower up after each use to save space.) For the first year or so I always used my right (stronger) hand. Twisting it with my left hand just felt uncomfortable.
A few months ago, about three times per week, I resolved to use only my left hand to do this small task. Yesterday, for the first time, it felt natural. Not as strong as my right hand, but, markedly improved. I screwed it in and out without really thinking about it, without any soreness. It felt good!

When I die, the world will not be where I want it to be.

With a little effort every day, it will be closer than where it was yesterday.
